Set-FASTSearchIndexLocation

Description
This cmdlet configures where Microsoft FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint stores it's index files.

The cmdlet edits the location for the index process and the search process.

Run the cmdlet on all servers containing index files and on all servers acting as query servers.
ConfirmImpact set to medium.

You will almost always use -RestartProcesses unless you manually start and stop FAST processes.

Example (This example changes the index and fixml location to d:\data.)
Set-FASTSearchIndexLocation -IndexDir "d:\data\dataindex" -FixmlDir "d:\data\datafixml" -RestartProcesses

Example (This example changes the index and fixml location to d:\data and moves the data from the old index location.)
Set-FASTSearchIndexLocation -IndexDir "d:\data\dataindex" -FixmlDir "d:\data\datafixml" -RestartProcesses -PreserveData
